Win Up to $400 in Our 2022 Workspace Decoration Contests!
It’s time to get into the holiday spirit with the 2022 edition of our Decorate Your Workspace Contest!
This time we're doubling the festivities by holding two contests at the same time, and we have prepared some great prizes for the best entries. And before you ask — yes, it is possible for you to enter and win both contests!
Contest 1 — Reels
This time around, we will be encouraging you to show your creativity by not only showing us your decorated workspace, but also how it came to be, using Instagram/Facebook Reels.
How to participate
Decorate your workspace in a theme based on a December holiday celebration from any part of the world. Create a 15- to 30-second-long reel showing us your process and finishing with your completed space. Then post your reel on Instagram or Facebook with the hashtag #EngooHolidays2022, and be sure to tag @engootutors! Oh, and remember to like and follow our Facebook and Instagram accounts as well!
The deadline is January 2, 2023, 23:59 JST. Don’t forget to make the post viewable to the public or we won’t be able to see it.
Lastly, fill out this form to finalize your entry. The form will be available until January 3, 2023 at 7 a.m. JST.
We will select the top five reels from the submissions, and each will win $400!
Contest 2 — Photos
If you don't feel like documenting your decorating process and just want to showcase the final result, you still have a chance to win by participating in our photo contest.
How to participate
Decorate your workspace in a December holiday theme and take a screenshot of yourself teaching a lesson inside of it. This screenshot will only serve as proof you conducted lessons in the space, and should not be posted on social media.
Next, snap a photo of yourself in your decorated space. It would be great to also see you in a matching holiday costume, but this is not required to enter the contest. Post the photo on your Facebook or Instagram account by January 2, 2023, 23:59 JST.
Just like for the Reel contest, tag @engootutors and use the hashtag #EngooHolidays2022. In order for us to see your post, make sure the photo is viewable to the general public for Facebook posts, or to accept our follow request if your Instagram account is set to private.
For the last steps, like and follow our Facebook and Instagram accounts, and finalize your contest entry by filling out this form. The form will be available until January 3, 2023 at 7 a.m. JST.
We will choose our 10 favorites from the submissions and reward them each $200!
Judgment criteria
For both contests, the winners will be chosen by Engoo staff members, who will be looking for creativity, originality and uniqueness of design, quality of editing (for the Reel contest) and overall effort to achieve the final look.
The winners of both contests will be announced on January 9, 2023.
A couple more things to note
• Multiple entries with different workplace decorations are allowed, but each entry must have its own social media post and form submission.
• By submitting your entries, you're giving us consent to post your reels/photos on our social media channels and to use them in our marketing materials.
A few tips to get you started
You could begin by hanging a wreath or placing a festive fruit basket on your table for harvest celebrations. How about draping some LED lights and ornaments around your workspace, or even decorating your table with foods from a traditional holiday feast? And candles are a very effective way to set the mood and add some holiday spirit to a space. The possibilities are endless, so we'll let you take it from here.
By the way, you can also bring the festive decorations directly into your lessons by using our seasonal backgrounds and emojis!
Don't forget: Decorations can be for any December holiday, so we're looking forward to seeing many different celebrations represented in your entries. That means Hanukkah, Krampusnacht, Kwanzaa, Christmas, Santa Lucia Day, Wren Day, Festivus… They're all welcome!
