Win up to $1,000 in Engoo's 2022 Halloween Costume Contest
Engoo’s Halloween Costume Contest is back for a second year — with thousands of dollars worth of prizes to be won — and it starts in less than one week from now: October 27.
So start planning a costume for your lessons. Whether you want to show up as something traditional like a witch, or something from pop culture like a character from Stranger Things, or just a good old-fashioned pumpkin, the best costume wins!
And if you’re not into costumes, check out the end of this post for other lesson ideas to help you participate in the Halloween fun.
How to participate
Step #1: Get into the spirit
Conduct any lesson between October 27 and 31 wearing your Halloween costume and take a screenshot during one of your lessons as proof for your entry into the competition
Step #2: Show off
Take photos of your amazing costume and share them on your Instagram or Facebook account. To be eligible for entry, make sure you follow our social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram, tag @engootutors, and use the #EngooHalloween2022 hashtag. Don't forget to set your post to public so that everyone can see them!
We will also be encouraging students to share screenshots of their favorite costumes on social media, so don't be surprised if you notice your costume trending. Agreeing to this is one of the conditions of entering the contest.
Step #3: Make it official
Fill out the form linked in the Halloween Costume Contest announcement to make your entry count. Complete the form on or before October 31, 2022.

When do we find out if we’ve won?
We’ll announce the winners on November 7, 2022.
How are the winners chosen?
The winners will be chosen by members of Engoo’s staff, who will be looking for creativity, originality, effort and overall presentation.
Can I make multiple entries in the contest?
Yes! As long as you wear a different costume for each entry. Just make sure to fill out a new form for each costume.
What if I’m not into costumes?
Not everyone is into dressing up for Halloween and that’s totally fine! If you’re not a costume person but still want to bring some Halloween cheer to your lesson, you can use our spooky virtual background and some stickers that will be announced soon!
You can also have some Halloween-themed discussions with your students. For example:
- You can talk about scary movies with your students.
- You can ask them how Halloween is celebrated in their country.
- You can recommend some Daily News lessons about Halloween.
Good luck and happy Halloween!
